The project is part of the dormitory eradication programme and will provide 54 beds at Chesterfield in three adult acute wards with the same at Kingsway plus an additional 14 bed Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. Both sites have a section 136 suite and tribunal rooms.

The buildings on the two sites have a similar layout and utilise the P22 standard bedroom template. The wards to the first floor have access to a sky garden which is sited above shared therapy rooms between the ground floor wards.
