Broomfield Hospital RAAC
Ryder Architecture
Involves the replacement of the existing RAAC (Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) roof and demolition of the roof plant and services corridor for Block D at Broomfield Hospital in Chelsmford, Essex. The proposal will sit within the existing built form and massing of Block D within the wider footprint of the hospital with the plant rooms, and removal of the external canopies forming the main update to the existing elevations. An improvement to an existing draught lobby will also update the existing elevations but this is occurring within the current footprint of the lobby.
